When To Do A Gastric Sleeve?

Many problems are solved by sleeve gastrectomy surgery.   • Any drug consumed should be informed to doctors.

  • Stop using aspirin, painkillers, herbal supplements, vitamins, for two weeks before the operation.

During Gastric Socket Surgery

During sleeve gastrectomy procedures, the patient will be under general anesthesia. This is done by inserting medical instruments into the upper abdominal region through a small laparoscopic incision. Then 70% of the stomach will be removed. The patient must stay in the hospital for two nights after the operation for medical observation.

After Gastric Sleeve

Here are some important instructions to follow after sleeve gastrectomy surgery:

  • We will provide you with a specialized diet for bariatric procedures. This diet should be followed to ensure the best result after the operation.

  • The first 7 days after the operation, your diet will consist of sugar-free and non-carbonated products.

  • Then, for the next three weeks, your diet will consist of pureed food and then gradually return to regular food after the fourth week.

  • You should take medicines prescribed by doctors at regular and specified times.

  • Intense sports activities should be avoided during the first month of the operation.

  • Smoking and alcohol should be avoided.

Note: There will be feelings of swelling and tangling after the operation, and this is a reasonable result, and you will be given painkillers, and they will disappear for the first few days after the procedure.
